The owner's word

• « Successively owner of a Rush (9 years) and of a Sun Shine 38 (8years) I was looking for a fast, fast boat that would also be ergonomic and comfortable. My choice went to the Elan 40, seduced by its serious construction. A very reactive helm, the Selden rigging, the automatic sail reefing system makes it a very pleasant yacht to sail, even with a reduced crew.
• For the interior, the kitchen (huge), comfortable nav table, we chose this type of lay out as we preferred having 2 large cabins rather than 3 smaller ones. Only one head compartment and one that is usable even in rough sea. The fitting out of the closet-technical storage corner proved to be very practical. This boat has never raced, we enjoyed going to the English South coast, the Basque and Spanish coast, Galicia... And closer South Brittany and Vendée... My wife and first seaman cannot sail any longer (hips) and it is not without regrets that we are letting go of this great yacht to join the enemy (powerboat and fishing)... »
