The owner's word

  • J'ai acquis Winsome en novembre 2014. Le premier propriétaire était David May, le propriétaire et directeur du célèbre chantier Berthon à Lymington (UK). David May avait fait modifier le bateau selon ses spécifications dans son propre chantier dans la perspective des courses du RORC : Winsome a d'ailleurs gagné le Fastnet dès sa première saison. Les différences notables par rapport aux autres Nicholson 43 sont un aménagement intérieur amélioré (cuisine, couchette navigateur, salon) et un mât avancé de 12 cm, dégageant ainsi le salon et permettant un triangle avant plus petit. Le yacht est utilisé pour préparer des élèves à l'examen de Yachtmaster, il a fait l'objet (alors même qu'il était en très bon état lors de l'acquisition) d'investissements et d'améliorations très importants lui permettant d'obtenir l'agrément "Commercial Vessel" auprès du British Registry. Il ne fait aucun doute que c'est aujourd'hui l'un des plus beaux exemplaires de cette série mythique.
