Miscellaneous comments / Summary

  • Built in 2003 by Alubat in Les Sable d'Olonne to a design by Philippe Briand. Ithaka is a fine example of this well known ocean cruising yacht. She is currently in her 3rd ownership. Her first owner cruised her in France and Europe. Her second owner cruised her in Europe and then across the Atlantic to the Caribbean, South America as far as Brazil, central America, Panama, Galapagos and French Polynesia, returning to Panama in 2012. The current owners bought her in Panama in 2012 and sailed her to New Zealand via Galapagos, French Polynesia, Cook Islands and Tonga. They then cruised in New Zealand before heading back to the tropics to Fiji and Vanuatu returning to New Zealand in 2015. In 2016 they re-crossed the Pacific to Chile and cruised through the Patagonian Channels and the Beagle Channel to Puerto Williams in Tierra del Fuego. In 2017 they cruised from Ushuaia in Argentina, to Isla de los Estados, and then the Falkland Islands, before returning the boat to Brittany via Brazil, and the Cape Verdes Islands.
Ithaka is ready to take a new owner on a major transocean voyage with the normal pre voyage preparatory work (eg. Antifouling and system de-mothballing) and a set of new service batteries. For light wind passage making she would benefit from the addition of a gennaker...Lying Bretagne Contact Jérôme LE JOUBIOUX + 33 6 07 45 71 73
