The owner's word

• We bought Auchama in 2004. In 2004 and 2005 we sailed on the Spanish coast, in 2007 I sailed across the Atlantic, in 2008 cruising in the West Indies and then back to La Trinité, then from 2009 till 2021 sailing in the Mediterranean each summer for one or two months. It was always important to me to service my boat on a regular basis and as well as possible, from 2007 to 2021 the boat was out of the water every winter and I have never rented it. I have given Antipode access to my invoices file from time of purchase till this day. Equipped for long-distance cruising, with wind turbine and solar panel, the boat is self-sufficient in electricity (during the sail across the Atlantic the fridge was on 24/7 and I never needed to start the engine!). It’s a seaworthy boat, fast at all speeds, great upwind (especially with its jib on releasable baby stay handy when the wind increases) and what’s more, it’s comfortable and pleasant to live inside.
  I’m getting older and far away navigations are no longer the goal, and we are selling Auchama with idea of buying a smaller boat for shorter coastal cruises.
