The owner's word

• Pen Ven, First 27, sera le dernier des 8 voiliers dont j'aurai été propriétaire, en plus de 60 ans de navigation. Il est possible de résumer en une simple phrase les trois principales qualités qui m'ont séduit lorsque je l'ai acheté neuf en 2023 : c'est un joli bateau, très réactif à la risée, et doté d'un toucher de barre particulièrement fin, notamment au près. Son spi asymétrique, avec bout-dehors rétractable, est facile à manoeuvrer, lui permet de partir facilement en survitesse, et est capable d'angles de remontée au vent réduits. Le bateau est bien adapté à un programme de sorties à la journée, au cours desquelles son moteur in-board facilite sa manoeuvrabilité. Le First 27 convient également pour la croisière côtière, sous réserve de privilégier les qualités sous voiles à l'habitabilité intérieure. Je souhaite à son futur propriétaire de belles heures sur l'eau, comme celles dont j'ai eu la chance de bénéficier.
